  13. Boston, MA (USA) -- July 15, 1991:  TeleTypesetting Company, developers of the
  14. T-Script PostScript® software interpreter for the Macintosh, has announced a
  15. new product called T-Script Deluxe v3.0. The new product expands T-Script's
  16. existing capacity to convert PostScript® files into TIFF files. The original
  17. program, released in October 1989, allows Macintosh users to output PostScript®
  18. files to a variety of non-PostScript® printers manufactured by Hewlett Packard,
  19. Apple, Canon, GCC, Epson, Mitsubishi and others.  This special T-Script driver
  20. converts PostScript® text and images into a high resolution TIFF file up to
  21. 2000 dpi.

  24. T-Script  Deluxe now converts PostScript files into 2000 dpi TIFF files
  25.  
  26. The TIFF-Export feature allows users to:
  27. •  Create TIFF files from PostScript® files for use in non-PostScript®
  28. applications.  For example, creating a PostScript® file in Adobe Illustrator®
  29. and converting to TIFF file format for modification in Adobe's Photoshop.®
  30. •  Use with High Resolution Fax/Modem.  Users will now be able to transmit
  31. images with greater than 72 dpi resolution.

  38. •  Print to non-PostScript® printer. Users can now print to any QuickDraw based
  39. printer, such as a film recorder (slides), or other printer, for which no
  40. direct
  41. T-Script driver is available.
  42. •  Export TIFF images as monochrome, 4-bit grayscale (16 shades of gray), 8-bit
  43. grayscale (256 shades of gray), or 24-bit color images (16 million colors).
  44. •  Select any resolution from 72 to 300 dpi (T-Script).
  45. •  Select any resolution from 72 to 2000 dpi (T-Script Deluxe).
  46. •  Compress images prior to export.
  47. •  Output PostScript text and graphics files at standard page sizes up to 11" x
  48. 17".*
  49. •  Automatically store converted files without the need for operator
  50. intervention.

  53. Enhanced PostScript Text Editor and Preview Capabilities

  55. The T-Script Deluxe program's PostScript® editor has been expanded to edit
  56. multimegabyte files and includes enhanced text editing features such as search
  57. and replace, and tabbing. Finally, the capability to preview multiple page
  58. documents has been added.

  60. All T-Script products function on a MacPlus or higher with one megabyte of RAM.
